Often the subject is determined by the curriculum and, therefore, limited. However, if you have more liberty when choosing a subject, you can get ideas from a variety of sources, such as:
- Student experiences
 - A unique object that you or your students have brought into the classroom
 - An article that has attracted your attention
 - A subject that particularly interests you
 - An event or trend that has raised the curiosity of your students
 - A popular book from the library
 - Specialized skills or knowledge of one of your students
 - A common object that can be viewed from a new and different perspective
